R.V. Kerr Supports Keep Bossier Beautiful!
Our amazing fourth graders at R.V. Kerr Elementary proudly participated in the Keep Bossier Beautiful initiative as part of Louisiana’s Love the Boot Week! This meaningful project gave us the chance to show just how much we care about our community—and the environment.
With the help of our entire school and their families, we collected approximately 4,000 plastic water bottles for recycling! Students from several school clubs—including 4-H, the cheer squad, running club, and disc golf club—jumped in to support the effort.
A huge thank you to all of our students, staff, and families who helped make this recycling drive a big success. Together, we’re keeping Bossier beautiful—one bottle at a time!

Field Day is here. Sunday is your last chance to pre-order pizza. Please scan the QR code below and order by Sunday, April 13. There will be a limited amount of extra pizza, so pre-ordering is best.

We had our third nine weeks PAWsitive Behavior Party today, and it was a blast! Our students had so much fun celebrating their hard work and great behavior. We’re proud of them!"

We are going to collect “type 1” plastic water bottles and Gatorade type bottles. No milk bottles please. We will be collecting them from March 26th until Monday April 7th.
Students can collect plastic bottles from home. Just rinse, empty, and put the lid back on it. Another idea is to collect them at your sports team’s practice, dance practice, or any place bottles can be found. I will send small grocery bags home to collect and bring back. These are easier to carry back to school. If you have grocery bags, you can just continue to collect and send bottles. Let me know if you need additional bags or larger bags to keep at home. Please deliver larger bags to school by April 7th. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hornbuckle.
