Military Family Information

Kingston Elementary values and supports our military families. We are proud to be accredited as a Purple Star school. We welcome each student and their family with open arms with a focus on making our school a welcoming environment that aids in an easy transition for our military-connected cubs. Kingston educates and serves the highest volume of elementary military-connected students in the parish. This is something we are very proud of… we consider this to be our way of serving those who make large sacrifices to serve our country.

Our large volume of military students and faculty including military spouses allows our campus to support our incoming students. Students are in classes with fellow military-connected peers who have had some of the same life experiences and transitions that they are experiencing.

Kingston has a military club that meets monthly. The objective of our Kingston Military Club is to provide a small community for students who are impacted by the challenges of military life. During club meetings, students and sponsors discuss important topics such as PCSing, deployments, how to make new friends, military traditions, etc. The military club is open to all Kingston students with a guardian who is on Active Duty, Guard, or Reserve.
